公益財団法人農学会 会長挨拶Message from the Prseident

　公益財団法人農学会は、農学に関する研究および教育を振興し、人類福祉の向上に貢献することを目的として活動してまいりました。
　現在、世界は気候変動や世界の人口構造の変化に伴う食料問題、環境保全、資源・エネルギー問題など、複雑かつ深刻な地球規模の課題に直面しています。
地球規模での持続可能性の追求に向けても、食料生産から環境・生命科学までを包括する「農学」が果たすべき役割と責任は、かつてないほど高まっております。
　当財団は、このような社会的要請にしっかりと応えるべく、従来の枠組みにとらわれない幅広い視点から農学のさらなる発展を支援してまいります。とくに、未来の農学を担う若手研究者の育成・顕彰に注力するとともに、広く社会との連携を深め、学術的成果の還元と啓発活動に努めてまいる所存です。
　皆様におかれましては、当財団の活動に対し、今後とも温かいご支援とご協力を賜りますよう心よりお願い申し上げます。

Message from the Prseident

The Foundation of Agricultural Sciences of Japan operates with the mission of promoting research and education in the agricultural sciences to contribute to the advancement of human well-being.

Today, the world is facing increasingly complex and severe global challenges, such as climate change, environmental conservation, and food and energy shortages driven by demographic shifts. In our collective pursuit of global sustainability, the role and responsibility of the "agricultural sciences"—encompassing everything from food production to environmental and life sciences—have never been more critical.

To meet these societal demands, our foundation is committed to supporting the further advancement of the agricultural sciences from a broad, interdisciplinary perspective, unbound by conventional frameworks. In particular, we will focus on nurturing and recognizing young researchers who will lead the future of agricultural sciences.
Furthermore, we will deepen our collaboration with society, endeavoring to disseminate research findings and promote public awareness.
We sincerely ask for your continued warm support and cooperation in our endeavors.
